Tourism: PM Wants Langkawi To Be Among Best In World

Malaysia expected to reap RM168b from tourism

Los Angeles, USA -- Malaysia is expected to earn RM168bil from the targeted 36 million tourist arrivals by 2020 under the Malaysia Tourism Transformational Plan (MTTP), said Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.

He said tourism was the second largest foreign exchange earner and seventh largest contributor to the economy, contributing RM47.2bil to Gross National Income (GNI) in 2012.

Malaysia to strengthen position of Islam

Putrajaya, MALAYSIA -- Malaysia will remain steadfast in strengthening the position of Islam, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.

King, Queen perform Aidiladha prayers at National Mosque

Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah performed Aidiladha prayers at the National Mosque here Tuesday.

Their Majesties arrived at the mosque at 8.20am and performed the prayers with a congregation of about 15,000 Muslims.

Malaysia should intensify tourism push in China
